---

People. to need help from you guys. My computer uses the win95 and when he starts looking for something like the floppy drive. When this happens, even when I'm up off the computer. He is always asking for something from the floppy drive. How can i make it stop
Thank you ...

--- One question:
Do you have Norton Anti Virus installed !
If so, he is responsible. ---

Jeanne,
The floppy drive is activated at boot, if it is indicated in the SCU, as First boot device. To change, you must indicate the IDE 0 as first ... If there is an option Floppy drive seek at boot, select Disabled.
Another reason for the disk to be triggered at startup and shutdown, is the action of some anti-virus, configured to perform well. If so, change the settings of the AV
Good luck! ---

Galera, diskette talking about someone here thinks Stephen Fry Tues
important driver in the computer I know that in 95 and 98 have to give
the boot diskette to install, but after 2000 and XP, can you
Direct Boot by CD. I could be abolished once this driver. Just do not shoot
because the load is asking all the time Driver.

--- I do not use floppy but even so it appears in ME. Anyway, in my setup has an option to notify the lack of a floppy disk when using win 95

--- If withdrawal from the Anti-virus, access continues to be done, must be another program that is acting, maybe even a virus ...
Give a Control / Alt / Del (just one!) and see the screen that displays what programs are memory-resident.
If no viruses, I recommend supporting the hassle access to the drive, keeping your Anti-virus active since at least the machine is protected against damage worse.
Good luck! ---

Libero, I ctrl alt del and the programs that appear are the following:
- explorer
-systray-
loadwc
-flatbed-
FindFast < BR> Osa-

--- Repeat Ctrl Alt Del and the window that opens select each program loaded from the loadwc and click End Task to close it and restart the computer. Make one by one to see if and which one is accessing the drive. If you can find out, try to configure it to not access the floppy disk or uninstall it.
Not finish in the Systray "sledgehammer," but the system will hang.
Good luck!
