RAS Server - Connection Problem

with a slight problem here. I have a W2k Server DC, and I'm configuring the RAS. What happens is this: When a RAS client attempts to connect the modem RAS Server, the modem handshake is not performing correctly, ie, and the connection is not being effected, the connection drops.
Someone know what might be happening Modems are OK with configuration .....
