Asus provides A7N-266

work in a computer lab where I was asked to do a survey now for a setting and micro repctivos prices to upgrade the laboratory. Having
in view of the programs used here with a newspaper and computer, I did this configuration: Asus A7V-E sound, Duron900, Pl.Video TNT2 M64 32MB AGP, 128 PC133, 52X CDROM, Pl.Rede, Monitor 15 " ATX case, mouse, keyboard, cooler, etc.. That is, a full micro costing R $ 1,680.00
Then I thought well, and saw that A7VE, the TNT2 card and 128MB PC133 memory could be replaced by an Asus A7N- 266 and a 128MB DDR memory stick. This was another micro R $ 1,607.00.
I thought the second option would be the best cost / benefit. But I never saw a working Asus A7N-266 and therefore would like the opnion of you. You guys have noticed some incompatibility or had some difficulty with it This configuration runs Windows 95

friend never had problems with A7N the asus as I never had problems with asus motherboard but if you want to improve their configuration at the same cost benefit, have you thought about changing this tb by a 900MHz Duron of the 1ghz since there is little real difference
Or for a Duron 1.2 ghz since it costs around 190.00 dollars

this setting based on announcements of some stores in a newspaper of 07/08/02, so naum saw the announcement of a Duron 1Ghz and added that setting the naum.
But guess a Duron 900 does the job because people will use it to access the Internet, edit text and will rarely use heavy programs or q work with 3D.

A7N The only problem is that it can not run a video card with less than a GF2 (which nobody does it). Another question ---

. This motherboard comes with On-board or not
In the ad was:
"Asus A7N-266 Sound and Video - R $ 369.00 DDR"
That is not say anything on-board network although they say it has q network.

I set this to a friend and gave a sound problem because the network card, and not updating the BIOS and changing the network card slot, it worked.

I had to change the model of network card, and it seem like there is some conflict in realamente pci, according to the asus site.
The one I used was the A7N266-C, no network .. .
Thankfully, this motherboard is Nforce cheaper, anything from 90 to 100 dollars.
