LTSP - load incomplete

--- I'm trying to use LTSP in runlevel 5, everything is going ok, but the X does not load even the login, just keep the cursor in the middle of the screen (up to work the mouse).
video card terminal is a ati mach 64, and by the way is correctly configured.
does anyone have any tips

--- What distribution do you use
LTSP is LiteStep
I think it's going into text mode ..

xinit # # ltsp (or the name of load)
see if it works.
Hugs
--- =
LTSP Linux terminal server project
my distribution server is
MDK 8.2 version of the core is the LTSP 3.0.5

--- This may be that the server holding a tah!
Then you have to use the xinit as drusian soh told to load the application that matters!
< BR> #-xinit and gnome (this way you load the gnome)
soh to load the application I naum know what the parameter h!
try there
# xinit -and netscape (never tested)
or has the possibility of video card or monitor naum be properly configured!
I understand a lot of it naum more for what I understood h Output this! if you have something wrong aê disregard!! ---

Kleber,
what I do is run a diskless machine starting from a linux server as a "dumb terminal". but the boot does not complete the load of X, lacking the login screen. Login as lack, as I will execute any command understand --- Dude ....

also use the LTSP and was a sacrifice to make it run X ....
I was told that it only works press the video card is identical to the station server
..... I've been researching and found a way to rotate is to create a file with the client settings and put it in the directory / opt/lts/i386/etc /
.... But the hard diss is that if you have clients with different plates, the thing ......
press tries to make it and e qq thing tamos ..... --- X-

mind,
lts.conf you mean
My already configured, and X starts, but the logo and the LTSP login does not come no way .... ---

Tries to do the following.
On the server open / etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess
Look for a line that starts with an '*' (without the quotes)
If this line is commented out (is starting with a '#'), uncomment it (remove the '#').
To that end get the login screen, the file server must have this line starting with an '*', this is not commented.
Try it and tell me what happens. ---

Edward
have 3 lines, 2 and 1 commented uncommented, starting with * in Xaccess:
* # any host Can get the login window < BR> * Indirect CHOOSER BROADCAST # any host chooser
Can get the * #% hostlist # CHOOSER
latter is the list of hosts, you think if I change it by putting the terminal name resolves

--- Folder / opt/lts/i386/etc exists an XF86Config file that is an image of XF86Config server ....
If you edit this file you will see that it tah
blank .... Make a copy by changing the settings for the client and replace this file by the previous .....

--- X-mind,
this file does not exist in my folder .....
what's in your file

--- If X carries (that gray screen with the mouse), then the problem and not the video card (or the XF86config).
XF86config This does not matter for anything. He recreated the client machine, the script start_ws, if I mistake not.
The problem you are having, and that X ta not getting a login screen.

To resolve this, see if kdm (or xdm or gdm) is running on the server (if it is booting into graphic mode, this).
ae said boot like this for your server ...
And if you're booting into graphic mode, says the kdm, xdm or gdm, that there's to solve the problem. ---

Tb'm w / the exact same prob.!
But w / LTSP or log gives remote!
Use MDK9 in server and CL8 at the station, which has the same peripheral server. (= video card)
The server goes into graphics mode ... just do not know if c / XDM, KDM etc ... as and find out what to do
KDM is the KDE boot manager GDM Gnome Or nda to do
